In temperate regions all over the world, palm trees are grown exclusively as interior plants. During summer time they may be placed outside for decorating balconies, gardens or parks. Palm trees which are grown in temperate regions usually come from tropical and subtropical regions.

I must confess, I have a weakness for all things tropical because they give me a sense of escape. That’s exactly I have palm tree bathroom decor inside the bath. The best results when growing palm trees are given by the subtropical ones, because they are more resistant to indoor living conditions.

There are over 80 different kinds of palm trees, each kind with lots of different species. Their trunk has the form of a cylinder, usually without branches. Palm trees are usually pretty high and they end with a bunch of long leaves, which can get as long as 5 or 6 feet in length. With age, leaves dry, leaving behind a series of scars on the trunk.

Tennis is one of the most fascinating sports, there is no doubt in my mind about that. Why? The mixture of physical and mental fortitude needed in order to really make great performance is really astonishing.

Even when you think about the fact that single point can make or break a match, that should be enough reason to really love this sport.

The oldest tennis tournament in the world is Wimbledon, and with Wimbledon 2009 tennis tournament fast approaching, people are getting more and more excited. People expect another thrilling confrontation between Federer and Nadal, the latter having stopped the former from getting a record number of consecutive wins at Wimbledon in 2008. Let’s hope that 2009 will be a year to remember at Wimbledon.

Who hasn’t at some point wondered why some people are genuinely happy while others are not? Most of the times, we attach great importance to certain external aspects but they usually are not really that important. I almost dare say that anyone who is happy, basically, is because he wants to be. Happiness is really an attitude, you may call it a predisposition, an optimistic view of life. Ultimately, it is a feeling that comes from inside each person.

A developed sense of humor is essential in being okay with yourself and with the others. Seeing the fun side that surrounds any circumstance is a way of detaching yourself, a thing that might otherwise be very difficult. As soon as someone is able to laugh at oneself and his/her problems, that person will discover that those problems exercise much less power over him/her. And most importantly, he/she will go through the problems much easier, which is ultimately what interests us when we face a difficulty.

It could be argued that the above are just words and that is very easy to talk and write when one does is not affected by the problems. Yes, the truth is that it is easier said than done. What’s true is the fact that we have all been affected by  various problems. There will probably be people who will have gone through less problems, that’s undeniable, but that doesn’t change the fact that humor is one of the things that can really get you through those problems.

When we yield to the constraints, which in the end we impose upon ourselves, and we believe that there are not many doors open, we close the road to happiness, to our self-esteem, ultimately to what we really want to be. Happiness is just trying to be what we are.

People don’t understand that without mastering the body then the body masters you. People are not above raw natural instinct all the time that we are dismissive of the power that it has over us. Can we rise above it? Yes of course we can. But without facing it and working with it, you will never observe people actually doing that. After all the biology, physiology and hormones we were blessed with are directly programmed for survival of the species. Survival of the species is directly linked to procreation so there is no phenomenon at all that links an ability to provide to sex.

Is their more to life than all of this? Of course there is, but our physical world is where we build our foundation which allows us to explore our mind and the universe so we can ultimately transcend the human form. But that’s an entirely different subject.”
